Finding Silver Bullet — Not the Car I Went Looking For

I wasn’t looking for an E36 M3 when Silver Bullet entered my life.

At the time, I was searching for something else entirely — an M6. The idea was different, the plan was different, and the expectation was that I would come home with a completely different car.

Instead, I found myself at NAC, surrounded by cars with stories of their own. Among them was this BMW E36 M3. It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t presented as perfect. But it felt honest — like a car that had been used, learned from, and still had plenty left to teach.

What drew me in wasn’t the specification sheet or the idea of owning a “finished” race car. It was the sense that this was a machine I could grow with. A car that would demand seat time, mistakes, adjustments, and patience — not just upgrades.

Silver Bullet was purchased in 2023, not as a final answer, but as the beginning of a different journey. One focused on learning through competition, understanding a car at speed, and improving both machine and driver together.

This project starts here — not with lap times or results, but with the moment plans changed and the right car appeared instead.
