Yes, only two were ever made, and apparently they bankrupted Triumph! The cost of building these cars was so high, and the selling price was the same, that nobody really wanted to buy one! They do share the exact same engine as on Alfa Romeo 8c, just imperial not metric.

Reminds me of the Citroen CX Tissier’s from the 70s and 80s. They made flatbeds and the Loadrunner for high speed newspaper deliveries.
