I drive a 1963 Mercedes Benz 220s automatic. It was sold new in Australia and lived there until 2019 when the museum it was housed in owed the taxman and had to close so all the cars were auctioned off. To my knowledge its the only RHD in this colour in the UK. Its my daily car in the spring and summer months. Not for sale anytime soon if ever…. Classic cars and accordions are a passion of mine and a way of life, I was trained in accordion repair in Castelfidardo AN Italy, the home of accordion manufacturing. I am also a piano tuner so if you need any services to do with that including pre purchase inspections than don’t hesitate to contact me if you are in the Surrey/London area.

    • That’s a special car, very elegant and imposing! The fact that you’re not afraid to use it as a daily is fantastic, and your training definitely pays off.
Networking is really important, especially in the world of old cars. I believe it’s almost impossible to do everything on an old car by yourself, so thank you! I’ll definitely be in touch if I need anything or if I’m in the area

      • Well I am not a mechanic really, but I am quite competent with working on old cars and do stuff on mine and mates. 90% as there is only so much you can do on the drive. The only time it was in a mechanics last year was to bleed and change the break fluid as its a faff doing it on the drive. Plus I am a Batchelor so would have to call a mate round and buy them a Wetherspoons dinner… I through I would mention my work in my introduction as there are not many of us around so and its a bit of an oddball trade. Plus I am self employed so always chasing the pounds and promoting myself…
